Join PBLA for a monthly lunch meeting at the Petroleum Club. $30 for members, $35 for non-members. 

Our guest speaker will be Thomas Evans from the BLM, speaking on the geologic history of the Permian Basin and Potash. Tom attended the University of Washington and earned four bachelor’s degrees (Geology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, and Evolutionary Biology), then attended Washington University and earned an M.A. in Geology. He spent two years teaching and tutoring in the Seattle area before going back to graduate school to earn a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences and a Certificate in College Teaching at Montana State University. After his education, Tom taught college geology and high school science until three years ago, when he transitioned to the Federal Service (BLM) and has worked as a geologist managing oil and gas projects and potash mining.
