U.S. businesses are invited to join a virtual discussion with U.S. Chargé d’Affaires to Algeria Mark Schapiro, senior Government of Algeria officials, and industry experts. 

The panelists will share actionable market intelligence with U.S. businesses on multi-billion-dollar opportunities in Algeria’s oil and gas sector. As Algeria prepares to launch new tenders/bids for hydrocarbon exploration and production this year, panelists will brief on the country’s strategy for its upstream sector and how these opportunities are a key part of Algeria’s efforts to build and strengthen foreign partnerships. This round of tenders follows passage of Algeria’s 2019 hydrocarbons law, improving fiscal terms and contract flexibility to attract new international investors, and will include 6 to 8 oil projects. 

All U.S. businesses that are interested in learning more about Algeria’s dynamic hydrocarbons sector and upcoming opportunities are welcome. Following remarks from our panelists, attendees will have ample opportunity to engage directly with the presenters during a Q&A period.
